Aloha … from BetheCancer Support Group resumes

 

RANDOLPH, June 23, 2009Gifford Medical Center is once again offering a Cancer Support Group.

The group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Randolph hospital’s conference center. The first meeting is July 14.

The group is co-facilitated by certified oncology nurse Pamela Fournier and licensed clinical social worker Glenny Dunbar.

Anybody who has been affected by cancer, has had a family member with cancer, is a survivor, is going through any type of cancer treatment or who has just been diagnosed is welcome.

“It’s open to anybody who wants to come. Gifford just wants to be there to support people during this time of uncertainty and change in their lives, and to help them regain wellness after their experiences with cancer,” said Gifford social worker Sandy Conrad.

The meetings are free, will be group drivenand will include time for discussion.

Gifford Medical Center is at 44 S. Main St. in Randolph. Park in the patient parking areas and see the entrance for the Conference Center under the green awning. The meetings are in the Markle Room.
